Brew Lab
One of the newer coffee places in Rama 9 area, Brew Lab is one of the better coffee brewers around.
It is located in the Soi 18 of Rama 9 Soi 41 Rd. It is behind The Nine Neighborhood Center on the Rama 9 road. There isn’t much place to park in the soi where the cafe is located, so it is advisable to park inside The Nine Center and walk to the cafe.
The cafe specializes in old fashioned drip coffee. This is not one of those fancy espresso places. You come here to get a good cup of drip coffee. They don’t serve cookies or any other food here either. It’s all about the coffee.
They have quite a variety of beans to choose from. If you are not sure of what bean you’d like, you can explain to the barista how you like your coffee: the taste, the aroma, the aftertaste, etc., and he will do his best to recommend you the beans for your cup of coffee.
I was really impressed that the barista let me experience the aroma of the grind first; then he made a small sample brew, and came and let me try the taste and aroma. Only when I am ok with it, he will actually make the final brew for me.
The Brew Lab is a full wooden building which looks simple but serves the purpose well. The seating inside is limited, but cozy. The customers are advised to remove the shoes before entering the cafe.
